About us

Based in Dublin, Ireland, right in the heart of ‘international’ Europe, GATE23 Records is built differently.

We’ve spent years in the trenches, navigating both the indie and major label ecosystems. We’ve seen firsthand how the music industry operates and, more importantly, where it breaks.

The traditional big roster model is a lopsided machine: a crowded holding pen where artists are reduced to numbers, social media handles to squeeze dry, or admin boxes to tick off during a brief album rollout window. It’s an approach that fractures the creative journey and strips the humanity right out of music, turning art into a slave to algorithmic deadlines.

We chose to do the exact opposite.

At GATE23, we reject the culture of quantity at all costs and fast food music. We believe that true dedication and passion are impossible without a constant, unfiltered, and deeply connected dialogue with the people who write and live the music.

That’s why we operate as a boutique label: we take on a handful of projects and back them with total devotion. We aren’t interested in superficial character building or the fleeting vanity of social media metrics.

Here, the human comes first.

For us, an artist’s talent is inseparable from their humanity. Behind every track, every project, and every career taking shape, there is a real life and a real person.

At GATE23, you won’t find an assembly line. You’ll find a space for deep listening, real collaboration, and genuine growth. Your music deserves time, care, and respect.

Welcome to GATE23.
